Built on the original site of The Royal Botanical Gardens, the Penthouse is situated in a location ideally placed for all ages, with most of the tourist attractions being within walking distance.

It is in a very safe part of the city for walking at any time of the night or day and has a grass area for children to play and a playground 1 minute walk away.

There are numerous cafes, restaurants, bars and other attractions expected in such a central location.  These include the Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre (which is only a 5 minute walk from The Penthouse) and the Omni multi-screen cinema situated next door to the Theatre.
